It’s not uncommon that galleries experience internal rifts. Generally, when this occurs the nomenclature is altered. Case in point: Galerie Krobath. Originally founded in 1996 as Galerie Krobath Wimmer, the gallery has dropped the Wimmer but kept all the same artists and rigorous program.
Located next to other art power house galleries, Galerie Krobath regularly turns out compelling exhibitions, showing work of international contemporary art newcomers alongside long term art stars.
With a strong presence at international art fairs, the gallery supports Vienna-based and young international artists alike, including Dorit Margreiter, Julian Opie, Max Frey and Esther Stocker.
