The Artis Cinema sits at the end of a small cobble-stoned street, in the center of the historic 1st district and within short walking distance to the Tauchlauben (luxury shopping street), Judenplatz, and the Hoher Markt. Owned by the blockbuster movie chain Cineplexx, this English-language cinema shows mainly mainstream Hollywood films despite its elegant and classic environment.

With only six small screens, Artis offers a fine cinema experience with an added touch of Old World class to offset the blockbuster decadence. Large crowds congregate on the weekends, creating an audience mash of 1st district trustafarians, tourists and outer-hood emigrants.
