Buckets of salsas on ice at the side counter are a free for all, and worth exploring. We had our doubts, but this place has thankfully and systematically shut them down. The Carnitas Guisado is so tender it nearly dissolves with each bite. Do not expect the authenticity of a taco truck in Oakland, CA to hit that perfect pitch, but you’ll certainly get a great plate of food and smooth tequila to sip alongside.
