The co-founders of Veja have embarked on a brave new project aiming to arrest the increasingly hurried Parisian shopping scene. Combining fashion with a social commitment and artistic projects with environmental concerns, Veja has established a space decorated by their varied influences and philanthropic ambitions.

Centre Commercial offers labels made in France, Great Britain and Denmark and doubles as a haven for vintage furniture, art works and—of course— second-hand bicycles. It is a collective space, uniting local, social and environmental initiatives. The aim is to make us question what we consume by carefully curating a selection of locally made clothes, accessories and furniture sourced by antique dealers and committed artistic projects.

Sheltered by a glass roof, the concept store is in a neighbourhood that favours slow-shopping, a few strides away from Canal Saint-Martin and its chilled-out cafes and dreamy terraces.
