We generally don’t subscribe to hackneyed cliches, but good things can come in small packages. One of the newest additions to the Marais, Anaïm is the definition of the word boutique: small space, small designers and small selection.
They carry six exclusive feminine punk/hipster-friendly brands, including young Korean designers Paul & Alice and Rozee, minimalist Swedish label Filippa K and English brands KTZ and Marjan Pejoski of Björk swan dress fame. Most of the items are for women, but there is a random sprinkle of men’s looks and shoes by Lacoste and Adidas. Though tiny, the store’s quirkiness is still prevalent: clothes and naked babies dangle from hooks on clear fish wire and the fitting room is only a curtain in front of a mirror.
