Graffiti artist/nightclub entrepreneur André Emmanuel teamed up with Thierry Costes to open this artistically rendered (yet hardly over-designed) hotel in the fashionable 9th district back in 2006.
With doubles priced at €155, Amour offers surprisingly affordable, one-of-a-kind accommodation that hook you up for instant landing—if a room’s available, that is. It’s modeled after an old bordello love hotel, and as such, bubbles with personality: different artists—even André himself—gilded each room with their personal touch, from crushed velvet furniture and vintage fixtures. The garden cafe in the back features a glimmering coy pond, while the snug floor-level bistro is a destination restaurant all its own without the usual stuffiness of a hotel.
A stay at Amour is perhaps one of the best ways make your stay in town feel like you’ve come back home.
