Sésame
Say the magic word

Creamy fromage and rich patisserie usually comes to mind, when one thinks of Paris. Rarely, does vegetarian or vegan inspired fare cross the mind or the even palette for that matter. However, if your gustatory endeavors in the City of Lights prove a little too filling and decadent, then head to Sésame.

Located on Canal St. Martin, this small restaurant exudes a natural homey charm. The menu offers a wide selection of salads, New York style bagels like the ‘Elvis’ with lachs and cream cheese, along with less snappily titled standards including vegetarian quiches, smoothies and much more. Carnivores can have their cake and eat it too as Sésame also offers salads and sandwiches avec poulet or roast beef. Be sure to try their lemonade, the perfect thirst quencher for the dogged days of summer.

Alongside its inventive health oriented menu, Sésame also holds a variety of events from exhibitions and art openings to poetry readings.
