Since 1997, Colette has served Paris with its three tiered, 700 square meters of carefully curated retail space. Following the store’s self-titled tagline of “styledesignartfood”, mesmerized shoppers gaze across glass cases housing watches, cell phones and other specially embellished collectible gadgets, past tables stacked with limited run art and design books and magazines, by shelves supporting must-have DVD titles, and of course by racks of clothing from designer labels and select street based brands alike. From A.P.C and Alife to Visvim and Yves Saint Laurent, Colette ensures your clothing choices represent the most coveted of current trends.
If it smacks of exclusivity, then it’s to be found at Colette―the emporium for apparel and media often relegated (or reserved) to smaller distribution channels. Such unobtainable commodities find a home here amongst a constant crowd intent on bringing these items home. Downstairs, Colette’s water-bar offers a lunch café-like menu of drinks, treats, snacks and sandwiches. Priced a pretty Euro but pleasant all the same.
