Bob’s Juice bar is a laidback, healthy veggie canteen just a short stroll away from the Canal St Martin. Freshly blended smoothies, seasonal juices, sandwiches, soups and even a handmade futomaki of the day all feature on the entirely vegetarian lunch menu providing all kinds of supercharged organic ingredients such as acai, alfalfa and acerola—a vitamin overload and a detoxer’s delight. There are also muffins or cakes if you’re craving something a bit naughty to hit that sweet spot.
Set up by American Marc Grossman, who found Paris to be lacking in health food joints, the shoebox sized juice bar has been a real success and the small communal table in the little shop fills up quickly with expats and locals alike desperate to get their 5-a-day fix. When the weather is fine, get take away and eat along the canal whilst basking in the sunshine. There is also a second, newer location, Bob’s Kitchen, in the Marais, which is slightly more spacious, to deal with the demand.
