La Maison Rouge
Art housed around a house

After spending the first part of his professional life in corporate management, Antoine de Galbert did a 180 and decided to open an art gallery in Grenoble. Ten years later, the La Maison Rouge was opened to show his private collection and to affirm his dedication to contemporary art.

Today the foundation is located in an old factory building, at the center of which is an old red farmhouse (hence its name). Architect Jean-Yves Clément of Amplitude renovated the 2000-square-meter building, which features between three to six extensive exhibitions per year in four separate gallery spaces. In addition, La Maison Rouge organizes and runs a unique artist-in-residence program, a series of children’s events and an in-house cafe.
