Formerly a “Point P”—something similar to Home Depot in France—this large industrial space on the Canal St Martin shed its unglamorous old skin and now serves a triple purpose: gallery space, bar/restaurant and concert venue. The musical programming is eclectic but on point, featuring a jazz and Brazilian-heavy program along with a mashup of rock, folk, electro or hip hop.
Starting in early spring, Point Ephémère’s crowds spill out onto the Quai, sitting along the canal sipping beers and chattering away until the early hours in the morning, long after this alternative space has closed up shop.
