In-spite of the court appeals and protests, La Loco—one of Paris’ most popular techno clubs that famously also hosted live sets from The Kinks and The Beatles— was finally closed in November 2009 after being taken over by the owners of the adjacent Moulin Rouge.
One of the largest clubs in Paris has since been renamed ‘La Machine’ but punters can still expect a similar serving of eclectic music throughout the same 3-floored, 2500m² space of its predecessor. After reopening for business on 28th January 2010, numerous live acts and club nights have already played out here including The Black Lips and Autechre.
