This store has “supremely” presided as the reigning skate fashion store since they set up shop on Lafayette St. in 1994. Though borne of skater trends, Supreme New York quickly grew to accommodate a wide ranging selection of rough and ready tees, button-ups, jackets and accessories embossed with everything from Wolfgang Tillmans photos to their own unmistakably pop art logo. Whether shopping for a whole look or just grabbing a piece to sent the tone, you might have to face up to some stiff competition as their work is very popular and easily snatched off the shelf. But don’t blame those zealous kids, as this being the only East Coast Supreme store, there’s only so much supremacy to go around.
