Whenever a new Aesop store pops up it’s a given that it’ll be worth a visit to check out the snowflake-unique interior design. And this East Hampton incarnation certainly isn’t bucking that trend. Conceived by American studio NADAAA, the walls are lined with pegboard panels of digital fabrication—with morse code messages hidden among the holes. Dowels can be inserted into ever-changing constellations to display the whole range of Aesop’s skin, hair and body care, and fragrance products. And, like its brothers and sisters dotted worldwide, the East Hampton store has its own one-of-a-kind sink centrepiece—made from Vermont soapstone. Simple copper valves and taps lend the air of a perfectly constructed garden, complimented by the picture window opening onto the sidewalk. A marine pallette rounds out the design, making shopping here a breeze.

Launched in August this year, it’s no wonder Osswald Parfumerie feels so fresh – but then again, it’s hard to imagine the place being anything else. With a plethora of perfumes, skincare, make-up and accessories, it’s olfactory heaven for those with more refined tastes. So, if the Osswald Boutique & Beauty Spa is a little too far to travel (it’s in Zurich), treat yourself instead to one of the city’s finest selections of pampering products.

A spin around this mecca of spices can evoke two sentiments: an insatiable urge to grab everything in sight and launch a series of eclectic dinner parties, and the overwhelming fear you might never get to adventure to all these countries. Despite this, the smells and colors will feel like you have entered a secret library of information about the planet. Spanning flavors from the Middle East, India, Vietnam and countless other places of ethnic cuisine, there are dried habaneros, Turkish delights and olive oils from Greece stocked up here for the taking.
