Slam Jam was born in 1989 as the first Italian streetwear firm, starting to import and hand out urban culture labels like Troop. It was in the right place at the right time, the golden age of hip-hop spreading from New York and the East Coast to the whole planet. Year after year, Slam Jam’s founder, Luca, opened several shops in Italy, embracing more and more brands from Stussy to Carhartt and Paul Frank.
Today Slam Jam is the point of reference for Italian b-boys and lovers of street culture, graffiti art, action sports and all kind of underground music, from rap to techno. They have sneakers, sweatshirts and jeans by Visvim, Unrivaled, W-Taps, Original Fake, Supreme, Neighborhood, Acronym and even Watanabe. And they are active in the “urban” life, promoting parties, exhibitions, DJ sets and a few strange and unobtainable street Japanese magazines.
