Opened in 1911, this little chocolate factory was the first shop in corso di Porta Romana. After surviving the bombing of WWII, Giovanni Galli became the official supplier of the Royal Family of Savoy and started serving the best tables of the upper class families.
Today, a Galli pastries box in the classic packaging is still a well-appreciated gift. Everything is still handmade, adhering to the traditional recipes: marron glacés, Afrikaner chocolate candies, pralines, candied fruits, nougats, jellies, almond paste, alchechengi—winter cherries dipped in chocolate—and much more mean you are spoilt for choice.
