Born in 1923 as the largest covered ice rink in Europe, Palazzo del Ghiaccio is an amazing Liberty building with an imposing iron, wood and glass vault in the Porta Vittoria area. Damaged during the IIWW, it re-opened after the conflict remaining active since 2002 by hosting major competitions not only on ice.
After refurbishment works to harmonize the structure’s identity, today Palazzo del Ghiaccio has a total white look to reflect the ‘ice’ element. Thanks to its modular nature, it can accommodate different events from fashion shows to art exhibitions and music concerts, still giving the option to use the parterre as an ice-skating rink.
