Pier 1 Imports for the new millennium, MIYO (an acronym for Make It Your Own) culls a cheap and chic trove from across the globe.

Each piece is personally picked by an aunt—Istanbul native Fati Rosenberg—and niece—Stephanie Jordan-Pedro—team who are interior designers eager to allow shoppers to experience their travels vicariously while spicing up the home.

The one-stop showroom’s inventory ranges from orange, wave-shaped sun beds to textured, fiber glass planters to decorative shell balls. Outdoor furniture and vibrant lacquers nod to their home base, but the Asian department also is quite extensive with stone Buddhas, bamboo sticks and wooden antiques.
