After four shows across mainland Europe, Placebo's final stop of the A ROCK tour last month took the band to Madrid. Along the way, drummer Steve Forrest threw some light on the ever-elusive definition of creativity; it's a "spark," a driving force of human nature, launching the ordinary to the next level. Likewise, the intimate run of shows promoting the lustrously modish Mercedes-Benz A-Class was a welcome change of pace for the band, sparking off the next wave of action: summer festival season.
