Much more than just a pub, The Haggerston is practically a Dalston institution. Their late license (Fri-Sun 03:00), and roster of great DJs make it an upbeat party venue for locals in the know looking for great music, beers and a vibrant atmosphere.

Whilst the décor is somewhat lacking in frills, the patrons aren’t complaining. Expect a salvaged look, with plenty of exposed brick – and while that may be pure Dalston-style through and through, if you’re worried about getting some unnecessary hipster pretentiousness alongside it, fear not. The Haggerston manages to strike a delicate balance: remaining cool, laid-back and yes, trendy, but more than anything it’s just fun.
