From the first time The End opened its legendary metal doors in 1995, this stylish club has been the venue of choice for many a discerning late-night reveller or dedicated muso. In the 13 years that The End has been in business it has earned a rock solid reputation in club land. Managers Layo and Zoe have developed what is, for many London clubbers, the archetypal 21st-century party location.
A shining example of what a great London weekend can be, fun at The End begins on a Friday night, traditionally the time to hear pounding drum and bass. Saturday is House night, where The End reverberates to the sounds of luminary DJs, from Laurent Garnier to Mr. Cee—playing tunes hot enough to thaw even the chilliest of wintery nights.
**Note: The End has announced its forthcoming closure in January 2009. It will celebrate its final birthday on December 6th with a headline set by the crowd-pleasing Sven Vath, followed by a series of closing parties, culminating in a grand closing weekend on January 23rd and 24th.
