The realtor’s aphorism, “location, location, location,” rings true at La Escollera. The lone restaurant sits perched on the water’s edge, butting up against a nature reserve, overlooking the surrounding salt flats.
Head south-east for a romantic meal on their large terrace. And while the view is the pull here, the food lives up to the scenic standard, with a seafood-heavy menu, Mediterranean influences and a solid paella.
An extensive wine and champagne list help round off the meal. But as those in the know will tell you, everything comes at a price: the quality at La Escollera doesn’t come cheap. That said, the special location and good food are worth indulging in.
