The small village of Santa Gertrudis has become one of the island’s success stories of late. Set in the center of the island, the charming village has become an ideal meeting point for islanders and tourists alike, and every weekend they flock here in droves to fill the village’s bars and restaurants.

In fact, there are so many quality restaurants here, from Italian to Japanese, traditional Spanish to French, tapas to crepes, that the village has become the unofficial epicurean center of Ibiza. Head to Bar Costa for what is commonly considered as best bocadillo on the island or stroll down the new pedestrian zone in front of the centuries old church.

Because the village has only been on the tourist-radar for a couple years, the authenticity and charm has prevailed.
