We don’t usually associate swimming with Scandinavian cities like Copenhagen—normally reserved for warmer climates like, say, New York—but the Harbour Bath provides ample reason for us to dip our toes into the water.
Born in the space of the old Langebro pools, which closed in 1953 due to poor sanitation, the public swimming pools were reinstated in Harbor Park in 2002 to much success since it’s constantly replenished with the fresh Islands Brygge channel water. This five-pool swimming center has become a popular destination for Copenhageners, from businessmen going for a splash after work to the families and children cooling off on a warm Sunday afternoon.
