Underwood Ink
Penning the roots of readership

Lovers of underground literature should make Underwood Ink their first port of call. Tucked away in a quiet Nørrebro side street, the shop doubles as a cozy café/bar, and triples as an exhibition space for local street artists. Even for non-bibliophiles, this one’s not to be missed.

The bulk of the books on the shelves are in English, with novelists ranging from W.G Sebald to Charles Bukowski. Owner Andreas also subscribes to plenty of good international periodicals, which he makes available for those who come and hang out here—at one of Copenhagen’s most idiosyncratic locations.
