A near monopoly, Sticks ‘n’ Sushi is a chain restaurant with seven restaurants dispersed throughout Copenhagen. It offers food to take away. It has a laughable name. Despite all of this, one thing remains: the food is damn good.
Since first opening in gritty Istedgade, which proved to be a risk that remarkably paid off, Sticks ‘n’ Sushi has become one of the most high-profile branches in the city. Designed in a palette of red, black and white colors, the restaurant is outfitted with several large tables that diners share comfortably, family-style. The food is reasonably priced, authentic and surprisingly fresh—must mean that the sushi chefs here order their fish in bulk.
