Ørstedsparken
Electric grass

Virtually unchanged since it’s inception in 1879, Ørstedsparken lies on Copenhagen’s old defensive perimeter. Packed with historical monuments, the park’s centerpiece is a statue to it’s namesake H.C. Ørsted, a renowned 19th century chemist and physician remembered amongst other things for his discovery of electromagnetism. With a view over its lake that was once a moat, Café Hacienda is particularly popular on Sundays with a young relaxed crowd, whiling away the hours in peaceful conversation.
