While the digital music revolution has largely lead to the demise of the independent record store stocking new vinyl in Cape Town, Revolution Records continues to supply LP and 12” junkies with their regular fix of quality second-hand sounds.

While the majority of the stock is of the rock persuasion there’s a great selection of jazz, funk and soul in the back room – easy to miss if you don’t know it’s there. Prices are a steal too, especially if you spend some time rifling through the bargain bins which contain many gems.
