Founded in 2006 by entrepreneurs Justin Rhodes and Cameron Munro, The Neighbourhood Goods Market aims to revive the public market in Cape Town. Featuring over 100 specialty traders, fine-food purveyors, organic merchants, artisan goods, gourmet products, local farmers, seasonal items, plants & herbs, fresh produce, boutique wine estates, and micro-breweries, the market represents a wide range of products from the extended community of Cape Town.
Every Saturday, you can sample some of the best coffee in the city from the Origin stall, indulge your sweet tooth with some choice pastries, sample heavenly breads, and the Ondersteun Handelaar stall has delectable coriander sauces and homemade chutneys. Be warned though, it’s jam-packed with Cape Town’s fashionistas and finding a parking space is an exercise in patience and goodwill.
