Situated in a renovated Victorian style house, the main visual attraction at Asoka is the ancient olive tree that continues to thrive in the open air courtyard, reaching up into the night sky. The interior combines wood and copper to create an ethereal ambience perfectly suited to the Asian faire served on the extensive menu.

A renowned feature is the cocktail menu, promoting a fresh, natural and healthy cocktail experience. Music is high on the Asoka agenda with the venue playing host to some of Cape Town’s top deep house DJ’s on a nightly basis. Not to be missed is quintet The Restless Natives who bring their inventive hard bop jazz stylings to the venue every Tuesday night.
