The southern tip of the African continent is the meeting place of two mighty oceans, the Indian and the Atlantic. The Two Oceans Aquarium showcases the incredible diversity of marine life found in these two oceans. One of the top attractions in Cape Town it’s home to over 3000 living sea animals, including sharks, fishes, turtles and penguins, all easily seen in this spectacular underwater nature reserve.
The Aquarium boasts a number of exhibits, but the most spectacular are undoubtedly the Kelp Forest, where you can gaze for hours as the gently undulating kelp fronds reveal their watery inhabitants, and the Predator Exhibit, where large ragged-tooth sharks patrol whilst an assortment of graceful rays, shoals of silver predatory fishes and a loggerhead turtle swim effortlessly against the current. If you’re feeling particularly brave (some would say foolhardy!) you can sign up for a dive with the sharks.
