A visit to Cape Town is incomplete without a trip to the top of Table Mountain which offers spectacular views in all directions. Getting to the top is a short journey in the revolving cable car and if you plan it well the sunsets over the Atlantic Ocean in the summer are breathtaking.

Once on top of the mountain there are a number of paths to various lookouts points where you can make use of the telescopes, and there’s an (average) restaurant if you’re in need of a meal or drink. Be sure to dress warmly no matter the temperature down below, as the weather can change in an instant. It’s also advisable to check the conditions on the Cable Way website before the trip.
