A project space run for artists by artists, blank projects encourages experimentation, diversity and dialogue in contemporary African art, and has held over 60 exhibitions and projects, including nine residencies since opening its doors in 2005.
Blan also works closely with Pro Helvetia, The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and the Goethe Institut to foster much-needed reciprocal exchange between Southern Africa and Europe. Some of the artists who have exhibited at blank include Stephen Hobbs, Katherine Bull, Niklas Wittenberg, Bianca Baldi, Warren Lewis, Barend de Wet , Ed Young and Jackson Hlungwani.
