Juicy Panic
Berlin fashion wave

With bragging rights as one of the city’s few boutique clothing stores to carry Vivienne Westwood, Juicy Panic brings a haute, global sensibility to Germany’s capital. Fittingly, owner Ly Dinh coordinated the opening of her shop in Mitte with Berlin Fashion Week 2011. Juicy Panic’s highly-stylized collection of garments covers international big-hitters, from LA’s Seven blue jeans to Paris’ Jean Paul Gautier and Milan’s Blugirl—a small, emerging label whose chunky canvas and leather handbags are on prominent display alongside Cowboys Bay totes.

Juicy Panic’s tripartite color scheme—silver, black and electric-yellow—is echoed in the dozens of brightly lit tanks full of dark, tiny fish that line the circumference of the shop. Ly Dinh’s fresh, and even slightly strange, approach to decor reflects her overall aesthetic predilections—a little unusual but always sleek.
