Darklands is a unique menswear institution, a nomadic shop where every 18 months or so, the crew close the doors and set-up shop somewhere fresh. Now in its third year, the latest incarnation—Darklands 3.0—can be found in the Heidestrasse art gallery area where they continue to fulfill their promise of showcasing the best in darkly shaded, avant-garde menswear.
As well as housing a choice selection of established names, Darklands is not afraid of turning to new and unheard talents; their older pop-up stores were the first to stock now household brands such as Boris Bidjan Saberi, Damir Doma and Latinen.
Their stance on exclusivity helped them grab one of only two German spots to showcase Carol Christian Poell, considered by the elite to be at the pinnacle of men’s fashion today. Such reasons are why Karl Lagerfeld has been known to purchase his threads here, and why Berlin’s fashionistas should drop in pronto before this menswear guerrilla store makes its next change of address.
