Step into Dandy of the Grotesque’s atelier and you enter a time and place where a sharp suit is a gentleman’s weapon of choice. Berlin’s nascent tailor studio is taking the male exterior back to its suave and dapper origins, topped off with a modern stitch.
Combining the ease and accessibility of contemporary menswear with the ethics of a personal tailor, the Dandy pays meticulous attention to detail with their designs. An open and continuous dialogue ensures that patrons leave the front door with pieces inspired by their own taste, complementary to their shape and style, and absolutely unique—the Dandy never follows the same formula twice and every piece is an original.
Their seasonal men’s collection—covering everything from tailored tuxedos and fitted business styles to pieces of a more casual demeanor with wrinkled wools—is designed and produced in Berlin and released twice a year. Here, unique also doesn’t mean unaffordable: they believe that style is created by mind, not money, and so the prices are as made-to-measure as the garments.
The Dandy claims to (almost) always be at home but to follow a gentleman’s etiquette befitting this intimate men’s club, book an appointment beforehand with Itamar by email or telephone.
