Andreas Murkudis’ high-concept shop first made waves in 2003, when its original store opened its doors in Mitte’s Münzenstraße and helped secure the locale’s über-arbiter of cool. Now housed near Potsdamer Platz and inhabiting Taggespiegel’s former office space, the new Andreas Murkudis still hits all the right notes. Items and objects are arranged with the minimalist style of an inventively-curated museum space, lending the consumer experience a hallowed aspect. The original, airy layout of Murkudis-selected designer wares—from gorgeous leather goods to organic cosmetics—make the trip over well worth it.
