With the opening of their flagship boutique on Kastanienallee, the Berlin-based label A.D.D. moved from creating co-ed fashions to being an exclusively menswear brand under the expanded name of A.D.Deertz. The transformation, though disappointing to all the A.D.D.-loving ladies, allows for the development of precision in the unique subtleties of the brand’s laid-back style.
The free-spirited Wibke Deertz—sole designer of A.D.Deertz—has collaborated with Berlin interior and furniture designer Rainer Spehl to form a space that is conventionally minimal in appearance but unique in its concept of flexibility.
A movable centerpiece, interchangeable panels and an open back-room allow the shop to maintain a dual-existence as a distinctive retail showroom as well as an event space for dinners, readings and art exhibitions.
