It might well be landlocked, but with its shabby-chic vintage furniture, unfinished walls and timeless decoration, Mein Haus am See still manages to deliver the atmosphere of an out-of-the-city oasis.
The focal point of the bright, spacious room are the broad stairs that lead to the upper terrace at the rear. The seating area, laid out with cushions, offers a comfortable perch where you can drift away to the breezy music. Simultaneously a café, bar, exhibition space and makeshift office for traveling vagabonds, this former bookshop has many uses. Free Wifi and 24/7 opening hours add to the multitude of possibilities: from hanging out in the cozy atmosphere, to enjoying a late/early espresso at 5am, or grabbing a read from the amply stocked bookshelf on a slow Sunday afternoon whilst devouring the amazing house stew—everything goes.
