Tischendorf presents itself as a way to savor coffee and cake without the digital hum. Jutta Tischendorf, an architect, set up her cafe to reflect the kind of ambience she was exposed to while living in Australia. That translates to, above all, a slow, comforting atmosphere where the coffee (always organic) is refreshingly strong and the homemade cake—whether it’s carrot, cheese or banana—is truly unmatched.
