Bringing the art of English High Tea to Berlin, this Prenzlauer Berg café fuses the traditional British pass-time with some very contemporary updates, installing a gallery space downstairs and hosting live radio sessions by Sweatlodge Radio every Friday evening.
Art and photography garnish the exposed brick walls of the café space, providing a comfortable setting in which to sip one of their carefully selected international teas, spending endless hours playing records from the vinyl selection or unwinding with a board game.
Those looking to satisfy hunger pangs won’t go disappointed. Scones with jam and clotted cream, freshly baked cakes and an assortment of cookies will satiate your sweet tooth while the selection of sandwiches, accompanied by English crisps, will keep the nibbles at bay. But the real hero of this place is without doubt the Traditional High Tea. 15€ may seem steep for unlimited tea and delicacies but anyone who’s sampled the same at The Ritz in London will ultimately find this a steal.
