Berlin can definitely do concepts, as exemplified in the case of Schneeweiss where the name says it all: snow white. This minimally designed restaurant, reminiscent of a winter wonderland, serves Austrian-inspired cuisine exceptionally well.
Warmer than Alpenstück and certainly the classiest restaurant this side of town, Schneeweiss doles out paper-thin crispy Wienerschnitzels, homemade ravioli, and seasonal dishes like rump steak in a wine-reduction sauce with mushroom risotto. The dining room is bedecked in stylish all-white furniture, chandeliers, and white figurines, which contrasts nicely with the dark wood paneling. Cool but still comfortable—the best of both worlds.
