Star chef Sarah Wiener runs four different restaurants in Berlin, three of which are situated in museums. This location is the most popular—being situated among the city’s premier collection of contemporary art doesn’t hurt either.

Wiener is one of the most outstanding cooks in Germany, always on the hunt for unusual tastes. Having had her own TV series, “The Culinary Adventures of Sarah Wiener,” she was quickly acknowledged for her experimental nature (though always tame enough for the German palate).

Sticking to fresh, seasonal ingredients and culling from her Austrian roots (her father is famed author Oswald Wiener and her mother, the artist Lore Heuermann) and her love of Mediterranean flavors, Wiener creates consistently strong flavors that often reinvent classics and use traditional techniques. Additionally, Wiener first learned the cooking ropes through baking, which means that her cakes and tortes are some of the best in the city.
