You wouldn’t know it, but just off Prenzlauer Allee lies one of the city’s juiciest burger dens. The eatery fits into the market between high-end grub and old-fashioned takeaway, accompanied by student-friendly prices and a good dose of rockabilly.
A simple menu consists of serious options like a chili cheeseburger and a snake burger (chili, cheese and bacon); those with a voracious appetite can also order the “Marienburger,” basically the latter with double portions of beef (already a whopping 180 grams of meat). Sprinkled with shredded lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles and a squirt of house sauce, these moist burgers thankfully come in baby sizes as well.
For all you foodies out there, request Neuland meat—hormone-free and natural beef, which though not listed on the menu is always available for a few cents extra.
