If you really want to make a splash at dinner then push the bejewelled boat out and head to Margaux. The owner, Michael Hoffman, is one of Germanys most well-regarded chefs and, Margaux has proved its salt in the form of a Michelin star.
Presentation is everything at this sleek Mitte restaurant. Dishes look like they have leapt directly from a high-end recipe book. Their jewel-like presentation is enough to wrack you with guilt for devouring them.
Unusually for fine dining, vegetables steal the limelight here and dishes are layered with elegant and subtle flavours. The philosophy of the restaurant is light and healthy fare, good job too because the “Voyage de Cuisine” is a whopping eight courses.
