Arena’s maritime offshoot earned its nautical stripes during its previous incarnation as the prized luxury liner MS Deutschland before being used as a hospital ship shortly before the end of the Second World War. Poor markings meant that it was the target of a British air raid bombing, which sunk the ship.
Fully restored and now half its original size, it enjoys a far more relaxed existence these days as Hoppetosse, where you can while away the hours on the ship’s deck, admiring the jaw-dropping view of the city skyline and sampling some of the flavorsome delights from the restaurant, including their international menu that set sail to foody acclaim in May 2011.
