Bikini Haus
Tropical architecture

As part of the “Zentrum am Zoo”, the Bikini House was built between 1955-57 by architects Paul Schwebes and Hans Schoszberger. The “Bikini” in its title is derived from the shapely curves of its original structure: an office at the top, a shop at the bottom and an “air-floor” stabilized by massive pillars in between.

Bikini Berlin is the brand for a future commercial center in the heart of Berlin’s western city due to open in 2012. The building will be an innovative multi-use commercial center in Tiergarten, designed as an urban oasis, a unique place that serves the needs and interests of the people, and a place that connects the city with the greens of the park.

It will provide a shopping hall, a premium hotel, offices, cinemas and wellness space along with its most unique attraction the Bikini Park, a spacious rooftop garden.
