Built in 1887, this neo-gothic villa in Friedrichshain has lived through many incarnations.
Once the site of a thriving turn-the-century animal market, this Hitchcock-esque location then became a Red Army detention center for Nazis, and then a private residence. Now, after a long period of not being open, the villa is being invented as a cultural oasis, with shows curated and events organized by SevenStarGallery.
Take a stroll through the 21 apple trees planted in the immense back yard (and see if you can spot the bullet holes in the metal fence), view some high quality art from Berlin, or take in a concert.
