Universität der Künste is one of the biggest, most diversified and traditional universities of the arts world-wide, with around 4,500 students developing their practices in departments that span the fields of Fine Art, Design, Music and Performing Arts.

The institution dates back as far as 1696 and is one of the largest of its kind.

Famous alumni include Arnold Schönberg, Bruno Walter, Claudio Arrau and Eduard Franck.
