Contrary to its moniker, this photography gallery will buck the trend of temporary of exhibition spaces in the city at its permanent (and enviable) location on Kurfürstendamm.

With a focus on showcasing developments and trends in contemporary photography, proprietor Marc Maximilian Doege intends to create a multi-dimensional exhibition space, incorporating performances and literary readings to play on any narrative thread weaving through each exhibited image.

Working closely with photographers such as Lars Borges (whose infamous black and white shots of Pete Doherty recently featured in a double page spread in Zeit Magazin), Markus Rössle and David Cuenca, Popup 195’s audacious approach will shine a spotlight on photographic styles ranging from iconography to advertising and portraiture.
